So here's my take on the cute shadow boxes that my SiL has been making every month. Here's the one she made for June. So mine isn't a shadow box, but it is interactive! It's a picture frame that is also one of those puzzles where you move the squares around to make a picture! Daryl's mom gave it to him a few years ago, and I've finally put something in it!

Father's Day/Summer Cookout Cupcakes

While hanging out with my mom-n-law yesterday, we came across these cupcakes in Disney's Family Fun Magazine. They were so cute we couldn't wait for Father's Day, we had to make them immediately! They were so much fun, we may just have to make them again...

After making our cupcakes we brushed the tops of the cupcakes with a little watered-down black icing to make sure the red/orange sugar would stick.

We mixed some of our black icing with white icing to make gray icing to use for the grill grates.

Hot Tamale hot dogs! Use a tooth pick to dab on some black icing to give your hot dogs that fresh-off-the-grill look.

For you kebabs cut fruit slices and caramel creams into pieces. And for the pork chops just smush up some more caramel creams till they look like pork chops....

And to finish them off, add black icing to the pork chops and put your kebab pieces onto tooth picks!

Lastly, decorate your cupcakes and enjoy!
